Application Process
Thank you for your interest in working for the Bismarck Public School District. We are committed to hiring the best employees to work with our students. We use an online application for all of our teaching, administrative, professional support staff and support staff positions.
The district accepts applications for most positions only when a specific position has been listed on our website. The opening for instructional aides however is listed throughout the school year and we fill specific openings from this pool of applications. The specific application requirements will be listed with the specific vacancy. Applicants for all positions must complete the online application. The district doesn't accepts paper applications for any of our job openings.
Applications for head coaching positions will be accepted when a specific position has been listed but applications for sub-varsity positions will be accepted anytime and the positions will be filled as needed. The district currently supports the following athletic activities: Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross-Country, Drill Team, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Soccer, Girls Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Track, Volleyball, and Wrestling.
Do not send any application materials to the district office. Most information, including the development of your resume and answers to our essay questions, must be entered electronically. Supplemental materials, including transcripts, letters of reference, placement file, and a copy of your current North Dakota teaching license can be uploaded in PDF format as instructed on the screen.

The Bismarck Public School District uses an online application process. All external applicants must complete the online application to be considered for all job openings with BPS. Applicants will be considered once their online application has been completed.
